Women make up over half the population of the world but are marginalized in numerous ways. Not only is this an injustice, it’s unsustainable. Me and my sister are determined to do something about this and so are the incredible women of the non-profit organization 109 World. This summer we decided to joint forces to bring forward and restore a worldwide sisterhood. We want to introduce you a little bit more to our new co-workers and tell you how you can help us, and them, making the world a better place. Step by step, heart to heart.

The three co-founders and friends Olivia, Rachel and Leticia - together with some of the kids from the village in Playa Gigante, Nicaragua, where these amazing ladies went on their first mission trip along with other changemakers went to set up a water distribution system. Read more >>
The co-founders of 109 World are based in the United States and two of these vagabonds live on the Caribbean Island Aruba - yet the world is their workplace. These women have dedicated their lives to help others and they travel the world to make it a better place. Every single mission trip has it own purpose and all profits from the trips go directly to support projects in the local communities where we are active. In this moment they are gathering an amazing team of changemakers in Ecuador, South America. On 16th April this year, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the coast of Ecuador. More than 600 people were killed and 27,000 were injured. Children are the most vulnerable group of society and many have lost their families, their schools and all that felt safe. It is crucial to make sure they still have a safe environment they can turn to. We´re so happy to know that the team of 109 World will make a difference for these people by ledning out a helping hand to those who need it the most. Follow 109 World on snapchat (world109) and get live updates from their current mission in Ecuador and glimpses from their daily lives as heroes.

A hero in her Cornelia Sun cape, a.k.a. Olivia in action among with some of the curious children in the school where 109 World are working. Such an inspirering pic!

All changemakers deserve some selflove once in a while.
During these mission trips they also make room for some yoga practice. Rachel Brathén, a.k.a. Yoga Girl, use to be the teacher of the classes and her amazing spirit is such a blessing for your soul. You don´t have to be a yogi since childhood to participate - this circle of love is for everyone.
As said, this community of love and light is for everyone. Even if you cannot follow the team worldwide there are other ways to help them change the world into a better place. An easy way is to dress up for one another by purchasing Cornelia Sun through 109 World store.
All profits go to support the projects that they are collaborating with and since we´re aiming to restore a global sisterhood - the women and their children will be in focus.

So go out there now and dress up for human rights.
We know you have the power to change the world with style.
Love & Light
