INTERNATIONAL WOMEN´S DAY

Today is the International Women’s Day and it is time to reflect on progress made, to call for change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities.
This is me, Lisa, and three amazing young wonder women in India which I met for the first time two years ago when I first went to the Northern part of the country to work as a volunteer in the non-profit organization AVI which Cornelia Sun today is supporting. The women in this area belong to a low cast community and because of their social status they are treated unfair by the society. Because of this they are not welcome to the govermental schools and their circumstances overall are hard. Yet these women's hearts are wide open and their eyes are filled with love and light. Meeting this girls helped me discover the force; the feminine power which is present deep within us all. These women have so little, but they give so much. They played a extraordinary role to me and my sister, but also to their own community. This was a turning point for us, we decided to call for change; Our vision to restore a worldwide sisterhood by empowering women came alive.
In two weeks I'm going back to India and my newfound sisters and we´re so excited to find out about the progress. Thanks to your conscious decision to wear our sustainable design you're playing an extraordinary role too in the history of women's rights and for that we're forever grateful.
When women support each other, incredible things happen. Today we celebrate acts of courage and determination. Today we celebrate love ~¨ From one sister to another ❤
